I knew that this stage of pregnancy - the waiting - would be difficult, but I had no idea just how mentally and emotionally exhausted it would leave me. Throughout the day I am plagued by the "what if's," and yet I am so encouraged by the number of people who are praying for us constantly. I'm so ready to hear this baby girl cry and hold her in my arms.

"We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, LORD,
even as we put our hope in You."
-Psalm 33:20-22

  1. Hi Courtney - I just ran across your blog from Sarah Erwin's. I was going to comment anyway but then looked at your bio and was shocked to see that you are in Renton! I love in WA as well (live in Everett, work in Kirkland). My husband and I lost our 2nd daughter in Aug at 38 weeks. It's nice to connect with another local angel mommy!

Anyway, I am so touched by your post and your honesty regarding your new baby girl. If God blesses me with another pregnancy someday, I know each day of the 40 weeks will be full of anxiety and fear. It's natural I guess given that we no longer can take it for granted.

I just wanted to say that I am thinking of you and will make sure to keep you in my prayers. I can't wait to read the good news and see the pictures of your screaming baby! :)

    Best,
    Mary Beth
